Chris Carmack, best known for his role on ‘CSI’, was born in Washington, DC. He was raised in Derwood, Maryland along with his two siblings, a brother and sister. He has been fond of sports since his teenage and has participated in sports such as baseball, basketball, football and wrestling etc. Soon, he developed an interest in acting and started working on three productions per year and also started competing in several drama festivals. After his graduation, Chris Carmack joined the New York University in order to receive a degree in Arts. After a modeling scout discovered him, he left the University and decided to devote his full time to his profession. His initial work include ‘Abercrombie & Fitch’, ‘Lord and Taylor, Macy’s, Target, Who.A.U, Elle France, Nautica, Guess?, and Cosmogirl. Next, he decided to move to New York City and the series which brought him into limelight was ‘The OC’ where he portrayed Luke. During 2005, he modeled for Ezra Fitch and in 2006; he was seen in a movie titled ‘Lovewrecked’.
Chris Carmack also starred in the off Broadway production of ‘Entertaining Mr. Sloane’ along with Tony Award nominees Alec Baldwin and Jan Maxwell. In 2006, Chris was seen in ‘Summer and Smoke’. He made a guest appearance in an episode of ‘Ghost Whisperer’ as Susan Mayer’s cousin Tim. He is also among the star cast of ‘Butterfly Effect: Revelation’.

Role on ‘The OC’
On ‘The OC‘, Chris Carmack appeared as Luke Ward. He was Marissa’s athlete ex boyfriend. He was the son of Carson and Meredith Ward and was the oldest of the three sons of the couple. His siblings were Brad Ward and Eric Ward. After he broke up with Marissa, he started dating Julie Cooper. The fact which made him and his father to move to Portland was that people of Newport learned that his father was a gay. He was the first major character who left the show.
